About my first blog

Shut up and make me a Sandwich Bitch started as an inside joke between me and my wife. Whenever she would say just about anything my reply would be Something like “Why don’t you just Shut UP and make me a sandwich bitch!” Good thing she has a pretty good sense of humor, a lot of guys would get in trouble for that kind of remark, anyway she started coming back with with even better ones but nothing appropriate for print here. About the same time I was wanting to create a website or just get some web space and I absolutely loathed myspace, I wanted my Own space, but every domain name that I thought was cool seemed to be taken. SO one day while sitting at the computer and thinking up domain names I entered in Shut up and make me a sandwich bitch as all one word and Disco, it was available and thus shutupandmakemeasandwichbitch.com was created.

Initially, I put up several sections of webpages on stuff that interested me, mainly Magic the Gathering, Punk Music, and Video Games, it was my own space and was hosted on a computer in my living room (I was new to web designing at the time, of course that was 2004, and the site was done with frontpage.)  It was pretty cool, I had the local magic players checkin it out, my old friends checking out the punk stuff, and newer friends into the video games section. I started a MTG Players forum section and that seemed to be where most of the traffic was going. So I created a seperate site just for Magic the Gathering Players.

I then began dabbling with the internet Marketing aspects of websites and wanted to try out some other platforms, front page kinda sucks after you learn anything about html and so I tried out wordpress. The site Shutupandmakemeasandwichbitch.com was all but defunked after some time, but since I still had the domain name I thought why not use it for testing of different blog types and marketing, which I did. Shutupandmakemeasandwichbitch.com became my first wordpress blog, where I tested different WP designs, plugins, and Internet Marketing Strategies. The plan was to just keep trying different strategies and formats and having all the content about those topics and marketing. Unfortunatly, I am not much for writing, I enjoyed the tweaking more. So the site would be tweaked and then I would never get to writing about the tweaks and the results. I mean yeah, I wanted to make money off the Internet but I far more enjoy figuring out ways to make money then I do writing about it, but I do digress. I have created yet another blog covering Internet Marketing and making money online with the best intentions of keeping it updated regularly. SO, with this site I started plugging in youtube videos and writing band bios of some of my favorite bands. There are some remnants of marketing articles here, but they are being moved out as I get to them.

Which brings us to the now, which actually takes us to the past? I thought I would take a stroll down memory lane. I will continue to post on the great punk, hardcore, and thrash bands, show off some of the most kick ass tattoos and artwork, and of course skateboard when I can. As for the future of this site, I am going to stick with the music I grew up loving and maybe start adding local bands as time permits.

This site is dedicated to bands, tattoos, skateboards and other oddities from back in the day as remembered through the eyes of a punk.
